Touch and Hear the Music

TO THOSE WHO WOULD LISTEN

Long, long ago in lands far, far away (Florida and Georgia), two boys were born. Sons of a minister, they were destined for a life of purity and chastity.

But Hark! One day the deceiver did appear and show them the light, the dark light of rock and roll. They did stray from the narrow path and did drunkenly forge their way along the winding alleys of unrighteousness.

This is the story of the Bivans Brothers, corrupted by the evils of wine, women and song, forever to roam the earth, wailing their refrains of lament for the world that is doomed. Damned to the incessant meanderings of mindless music.

So it is their fate, nay, their solemn quest, to rescue mankind from the tortuous throes of mass produced pop rock, and drive his terra bound skull into the realms of reality.

So ye wanderer of the cerebral wastelands, dare to leave the piper, defy the drummer and scream, "I will Not March!". Venture forwards, backwards and sideways in musical time. Step into those twisted darkened alleys of song with the brothers. Let them seduce, entertain and spank you with choruses of comical woe.
But be forewarned, you may never return to the ordinary world, again.

Tim Bivans (or Bones to his friends), currently a student of voice and musical composition at East Carolina University, is a powerful singer / songwriter who is equally adept at all facets of song composition. His melodic vocal and guitar lines are the lure of the brothers' music. A proponent of eastern thought , he is usually the more reserved and introspective of the duo (unless he's had a few strong drinks, of course).

Steve Bivans (sometimes referred to as Genghis) has been playing guitar and writing songs of torture for more moons than he would care to mention. His aggressive rhythmic guitar style is the punishing force of the brothers' songwriting method.

Known to spend entire evenings wearing a broadsword and brooding over the pathetic state of world affairs, dark and barbaric philosophies are more suitable to his palate. Although, he has been known to laugh on occasion, when he is sharing an ale with good company.

The rest of this motley band of rogues consists of;

Mike (Maracas) Mizelle, the drummer of the band, also sings, plays guitar, bass, and of course, as you may have guessed,...maracas. He's a short little twerp who can really work the "skins". He has been playing drums since he was five years old and was greatly influenced by Peter Kriss, and Neil Peart. He has been known to catch flying braziers while raging on the drums, during Bivans Brother's shows. He is a student of East Carolina University. Oh yeah, he also writes songs, albeit, twisted ones.

Tre (Roget) Perry is a complete IDIOT ! He's also the current bass player. An accomplished songwriter himself, he also plays guitar and sometimes annoys the sound man by attempting to play drums during sound check. He allegedly cut his hair while sleepwalking one night,.... whoa!, what a funky doo man. His nick name was coined by Steve because, although a graduate of East Carolina's Theater dept., has a difficult time finding the right word to use on almost every occasion. He's a pretty good bass player too.
